Goldroll accomplished a legendary naval feat: transporting 800 gallons of Imperial Stout aboard the merchant frigate Windward to the port of Saint Petersburg, boldly circumventing the Continental Blockade imposed by the French on British trade. After a perilous and epic journey skirting the untamed Scandinavian coasts, braving severe storms and dodging both enemy ships and imposing icebergs, he successfully reached the court of the tsars. That adventurous and intense voyage endowed the Imperial Stout with unique smoky and exotic notes that would make it exceptional forever. BARLOVENTO, an intense and robust beer, is a direct heir to those epic journeys, thanks to its smoky notes and the special touch of tonka bean that give it a unique character in the market.
